Welcome to Willie & Joe's Supply Depot
This is where we keep track of the wargamer's scorecard -- Willie & Joe are just making a pot of joe. Grab a cup, sit back, and take in the latest stats on our supply.
I've gotten questions over the years asking how many games I own, how many scenarios I've played, how many counters I've acquired by now, and so on. I've never had an exact answer, so I feel like that needs to change. I can no longer reasonably say 15,000 counters since I acquired War in the Pacific (which itself has 8,000+), and guessing between 30,000-40,000 seems inadequate. So, I've enlisted Willie & Joe's help to keep track -- here's hoping Bill Mauldin won't mind lending their services out now that they've been drilled out of service and sent back to the home front. I certainly wouldn't entrust myself alone to such a momentous task, so who better to help keep everything straight than Willie & Joe. After all, they make a wicked cup a joe, and a wargamer without his grog is, well ... I'm not sure.
At any rate, Willie & Joe will keep everything straight -- so if the occasional reader catches anything wrong here, I suggest taking it up with them.
So, 'what is the Supply Depot' you ask? It's simple - it's a list of the wargames, components, and scenario/campaign play throughs that I've acquired and completed over the years. If it's here, it's currently a part of the collection.
Willie's Bulletin
16 March 2026 -- New! -- I've added the following games to my collection: The Mighty Endeavor, OCS Sicily II, and Fire in the East.
21 December 2025 -- After a trip out to the Decision Games HQ, I've come away with several additional games that I just couldn't let slip: Aachen: First to Fall, Hougoumont: Key to Waterloo, Lettow-Vorbeck: East Africa 1914-1918, Vikings: Scourge of the North, Germantown: Washington Strikes, Rommel's Panzers, & Stalin's Tanks. In addition, I was also kindly gifted Supply Lines of the American Revolution by some friends of mine in New Jersey.
30 September 2025 - There are yet even more acquisitions to the ever-growing collection of wargames: HASL 1: Red Barricades, Poland Defiant, and Storm of Steel!
25 June 2025 - Some final acquisitions for the month of June, including S&T Singapore, Atlantic Wall: D-Day to Falaise for the GOSS series of games from Decision Games, War in the Desert for the Europa series (at a steal of a price), and a 1st edition copy of Panzer Grenadier from Avalanche Press. That's all for June (and my bank account)!
11 May 2025 -With a surprise return there are two new acquisitions to the Game Supply Manifest to kick off 2025 on AARC: Decision Games's D-Day at Omaha Beach and Cherkassy Pocket. We'll have more to come soon, but take this as an indicator that the updates on Willie's Bulletin will become more frequent from here on out.
16 November 2024 - Yes, that's right folks, Joe has scrounged up a new update for the bulletin. These days, there's virtually no time to keep things here in shipshape, and we're afraid it will stay like this for a few years to come (PhDs don't come quick, or easily), but alas, Joe & Willie will still provide the occasional update. At today, they've worked hard to uncover the only ASL scenario saved from the days of Between Two Trenches that I designed (albeit somewhat poorly). Check out their latest Blast from the Past!: On the Moro.
27 May 2024 - Just a quick update, today. Last month, we acquired three OCS titles that I didn't have an opportunity to log until now. We've now added Burma, Korea, and Reluctant Enemies to the inventory. More to come later this summer (in the way of news, not games -- the bank account would never stand for that)!
24 March 2024 - Hi Folks! The game supply manifest has been posted, along with an update on two new game purchases! We've now added Europe in Turmoil I & II to our collection. You can find a link to the game manifest below and Joe has also just finished putting together another Blast from the Past! from the SheepsHeadBay days: the Great Hearts of Iron IV Mistake. We've got lots more exciting news on the horizon as well, so check back soon!
2 March 2024 - Blast from the Past! Joe has scrounged up an AAR for 88s at Zon.
18 February 2024 - The initial inventory. We'll provide more updates soon as we receive more supplies.
Joe's Archives
While I've been working on this site since 2019, I've had several other blogs & sites where I posted articles and videos that bear relevance to AAR Central and for one reason or another, none of them remain. For the sake of archiving everything and moving them onto this site, I've saved what I can and have included a record here of the sites and pages that no longer exist.
World War II Chronicles (WW2Chronicles): A blog from 2011-2012 with a short life span that chronicled different histories of the second world war. All content lost. My research on Operation Husky and the timetables for the operation's success was perhaps the single biggest loss from that time.
SheepsHeadBay: A now defunct YouTube channel from 2016-2017. The channel featured videos on board games, videos on battlefield (wargame) tactics, and miscellaneous hobby videos with occasional videogame content thrown in (including machinimas). The channel was supplementary to the precursor website from AAR Central (see below). Some content from the channel remains. Time permitting, I will upload what videos remain and post them on the site.
Between Two Trenches: A site from January-May 2017 that served as a precursor to AAR Central. The scope of the first posts there served as the initial inspiration for the approach to my AAR's on the current site. Until recently, I thought everything but the last three posts from that site had been lost, but I've luckily recovered everything from Between Two Trenches and will move it onto AAR Central over time.

Not all counter totals are provided for each game so in cases where totals were not readily available, I've provided my own calculation. Like anything in which humans are involved, there's the propensity for human error, so take these totals with a grain of salt.)
III. Joe's Scenario Tallies
Joe's currently rummaging through the old archives and tabulating scenario plays. He'll provide an update soon!
